Jr. Beta Club

This honor club requires exemplary behavior and a high academic average.  A student must have a 93 or above in the five major academic subjects and no grade below an 88.

 

The Jr. Beta Club sponsors the popular Cougar Idol in the spring of each year.

Builders Club

A community service club that is associated with the Maury County Kiwanis Club


The objectives are:

  • To provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community. 
  • To develop leadership potential.
  • To foster development of a strong and moral character.
  • To encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.

 

The core values are:

  • Character Building:  the ability to do the right thing, even when it might be the unpopular choice.
  • Leadership:  the ability to listen, communicate, serve and guide others.
  • Inclusiveness:  accepting and welcoming the differences in other people.
  • Caring:  the act of being concerned about or interested in another person or situation.

Cougar Club

This club supports our Cougar athletic teams.  Cougar club members (if applicable) can receive shirts and free admission to the first home games.

Cross Club

The Cross Club is a student-led group that is open to any student desiring to attend.  The Cross Club participates in the annual "See You at the Pole" event the fourth Wednesday in September.

Drug Free Club

Drug Free Club is an organization for students who believe in a drug-free healthy lifestyle.  DFC members give their time and energy to projects for the school and community such as the annual Christmas Shop with a Cop program and other charities.  Club members are also involved with school recycling and the annual Car Bash at Cougar Carnival.


 

Student Council

Student Council is a service club open to all CMS students.  This club works on several projects throughout the school year.
